Dr. Beth Durney is a DC and Capitol Hill native. She earned an undergraduate degree in Geology from Washington and Lee University, and after a short stint riding horses professionally, headed to the University of Pennsylvania earning her veterinary degree in 2010. She then completed a rotating small animal internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2011. Since completing her training, she has spent time working in both critical care settings and general practice, but the long lasting pet (and human) bonds of general practice are certainly where her heart lies. Her professional interests include dentistry and oral surgery, endocrinology, feline medicine, and emergency medicine. She feels that dedication to continuing education and collaborative care are the keys to creating great outcomes for pets and their parents. Dr. Durney lives in DC with her husband and two small children. In her free time, she enjoys getting outside and exploring, cooking, reading, and listening to super eclectic playlists with her family.
