Dr. Rikki Zaritsky grew up in Burtonsville, MD and is happy to be back in the DC Metro area. She received her B.S. in Biology from University at Albany and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, following her clinical year at Kansas State University in 2014. After graduation, Dr. Zaritsky moved to DC and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA Southpaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center in 2015. Since then she has been working as an emergency and ICU veterinarian at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Rockville, MD. She is thrilled to be a part of the AtlasVet family and to help the animals of her neighbors and friends. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine, soft tissue surgeries, metabolic disorders, and anesthesia. Dr. Zaritsky lives in DC with her husband, their vivacious daughter, their dog Calvin, and two cats (Hobbes and Pickles). During her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, trying out new restaurants in DC, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
