Cherica Richmond, DVM

Dr. Richmond graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree. While pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Maryland in 2013, she worked at AtlasVet as a veterinary assistant before being accepted to vet school. Dr. Richmond moved back to the DC area after graduation and completed a rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals. She is excited to rejoin the Atlas team and to make the District her “furrever” home! Her special interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Richmond enjoys listening to music, swimming, yoga and playing video games. She lives in NE DC with her sweet cattle-dog-mix, Quincy and her devious orange cat, Malcom.
