What to expect at your first visit

Have your appointment all set? Super!

Before Your Visit:

  • After you book your appointment, you should receive a confirmation email and a link to fill out our New Client Form . Please fill out this form prior to our appointment.
  • We would love to have your pet’s prior medical history prior to your arrival. Please contact us with the name of your pet’s former veterinarian and we will get the records for you.
  • Before your appointment, you should receive a message asking you to confirm you appointment and a link to our Check-In Form. This form is optional and helps ensure all your questions and concerns are addressed at the appointment
  • We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your appointment time so we can ensure we can confirm all your information.
  • Please call us as soon as possible if you know you will be arriving late. If you are more than 10 minutes late, it is possible that we may ask you reschedule to ensure we can see other appointments on time. In the event that we are unable to see your pet, we will work with you to schedule another appointment or may try to fit you in as an “urgent care” appointment for an additional fee.

At the Clinic:

  • Upon arrival, let the Client Service Advocate (CSA) team at the front desk know your pet’s name + last name and they will let the technician and doctor know you are here. They will also collect any missing information from your file.
  • After you are check-in, a veterinary technician will weigh your pet and take some initial details. This a good time to ask any preliminary questions you have or the technician will confirm the information you provided on the Check-In Form.
  • After your veterinary technician collects information, they will let the doctor know their appointment is ready. Your veterinarian will examine your pet. A physical examination typically includes examining eye, ears, teeth, skin, listening to heart & lungs, abdomen, muscles/joints, and weight. Some of these areas may not be able to be examined depending on what is going on with your pet and the pet’s fear/stress levels.
  • After your visit with the vet, you will wait in our spacious lobby for the vet to complete your invoice. Once your invoice is ready, a team member will call you to the front desk for check out. We require payment in full at time of services. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit as forms of payment.
