Elena Donahue, DVM

Dr. Elena Donahue graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Southern Spain but moved to Maryland where she received a B.S in Biochemistry from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Dr. Donahue grew up helping her aunt care for rescued animals in southern Spain. What humbly started as a hobby for her family, was later established as no-kill shelter called Siempre Contigo that serves the province of Cadiz.

Dr. Donahue’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is serving her community and connecting with her clients through their pets. She has a soft spot for anxious/fearful dogs and cats. Her special interests include behavior, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Donahue is engaged to her fiancee, Jack, and they are looking to rescue a cat! During her free time, she enjoys being with her family, hiking, baking and reading.
